I just think that Sudan's marriage culture particularly in giving dowry to the bride is excessive. Can you imagine giving more than 500 cattle plus goats, sheep and cash just to win the “yes” of a Sudanese for marriage? Actually, it's not about the Sudanese decision to marry a man but the decision actually comes from her father. And now, there is a growing number of men committing crime to obtain hundreds of cattle in their region. I actually don't know the reason behind this culture but I just think that this is extreme, creating insecurities to men of Sudan.
